Plan Your Visit
Considering joining us on a Sunday?
We’re excited to meet you!
We are thrilled you are considering joining us on a Sunday! We know visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking, but we will do everything we can to make your first experience at Calvary a great one. Once you get here, you will be greeted by a member of our Community Team (and likely a few other folks who are happy to see you). If you have any questions or need anything, visit our Connections Table at the back of the Auditorium.
Service Times
Location and Directions
We are conveniently located right in the middle of Brevard, close to Highway 64 (AKA N Broad St.) on Osborne Road. Arby’s is across the street from Osborne Road. The church building is located behind Blue Ridge Community College. You can’t miss us!
What is Sunday like at Calvary?
Sunday is our favorite day of the week! We gather together on the Lord's Day to celebrate Jesus together through preaching, singing, praying, and giving.
Our worship service lasts about 75 minutes. The worship team will sing several songs and the lyrics will be projected on the screen so you can easily sing along. Our pastor will preach a message straight from the Scriptures that you can easily understand and apply.
Sundays at Calvary are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
You can also watch one of our services online by visiting our Facebook page.
What about children?
We love kiddos at Calvary!
We offer age-appropriate Bible lessons for the kids (birth-5th grade) during Sunday School at 9:45am. We also offer nursery during worship at 11:00am for infants and toddlers. We welcome our older kids (5 and up) into the worship service with the rest of the faith family. We believe this is good for them and for us! We know it’s daunting to think about trying to keep your child still and quiet for an entire worship service, so you should know that you will be the one most bothered by your children. Our pastor and our members love having the kids in worship! A little extra noise won’t bother us, we promise.
We want you to know that all of our childcare workers and teachers have completed a thorough, nationwide background check and we have a secure check-in process for all of our children.
Have a Question?
What should I wear?
You should wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. There is no dress code at Calvary and you won’t be judged for your fashion choices. A lot of our folks dress casually, but some like to dress up on occasion.
Will I be pressured to give?
Nope, we’re just glad you’re here! We don’t expect our guests to give anything. If you feel compelled to give, there’s a red collection box at the back of the Auditorium, so you can discreetly drop a gift inside on your way out if you’d like.
What is the music like?
We love any songs that tell the story of the gospel of Jesus. We value depth in lyrics and beauty in art. Thus, we sing both ancient and contemporary songs. On a normal Sunday, you’ll see an acoustic guitar player or pianist with a few singers on stage.
What is the preaching like?
We believe “nothing is better for God’s people than God’s Word.” So, we value expository preaching. That means we normally preach through books of the Bible. Occasionally, we’ll study a topic or theme from Scripture for a short season, but we always do so in an expository fashion.
How often do you observe the Lord’s Supper? Who can participate?
We take communion together once a month, normally following the sermon. We encourage families to participate together as a way of reflecting on God’s Word. We practice open communion, meaning that all baptized followers of Jesus are welcome to join us in communion. If you are not a believer, we urge you to skip the table and take the Savior instead!
