Children’s Ministry

Jesus loves your kids…and so do we!
During Sunday School, we invite children, infants through elementary school, to take part in teachings and activities designed specifically for these age groups. Taught by background-checked church members, each class focuses on age-appropriate themes with fun thrown in.
The kids who are too big for the nursery (age 5 and up) are invited to join us during the worship service. Parents, please try to relax…your child might be wiggly or noisy, and we’re good with that! We understand and value their presence in the service and no one will be bothered by them.
We invite you to bring your children to Calvary and experience first hand our love for the next generation of Christians.
The Kiddos
Infants have their basic needs met by two weekly volunteers. The littlest ones are welcome to stay in the nursery during Sunday School and worship. Our teachers will share a Bible story, and maybe even a song or craft with them.
Infants (0-1 Years)
Toddlers enjoy videos, songs, stories, crafts, and playtime, centered on teaching the love that Jesus expresses to all of us. They’ll get snacks (with your approval, of course) and they’ll have an awesome time with their teachers. This super fun group of kiddos is welcome to stay in nursery for worship.
Toddlers (2-3 Years)
Preschool (3-5 Years)
Preschoolers Scripture-based videos, songs, stories, and crafts—all of which are designed to point them to Jesus Christ. They’ll also get parent-approved snacks. Three and four year olds are welcome to stay in nursery for worship, but the decision is yours.
Elementary school children enjoy a Bible lesson along with games, crafts, and parent-approved snacks during Sunday School. The big kids join us for corporate worship. We love having the kids with us to sing together and listen to the sermon together!
School Age (6-11 Years)
Your First Visit!
From the moment you park, you’ll notice lots of friendly faces eager to help you.
Your first stop is the kid’s check-in area. We want to serve you and your child well, so we’ll take some time to get to know you. We’ll ask about allergies, make sure we know what your child likes to be called, and collect your information.
Then, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code. If for any reason we need to reach you during the gathering, we will either send you a text message or come and get you in person. The sticker you received at check-in is also what you’ll use to pick-up your child after gathering.
All of our childcare workers and teachers have completed a thorough nationwide background check.
